You can now download Firefox 3.6 Release Candidate 1

Mozilla has released the first release candidate of Firefox 3.6.1 (RC1). The release is available as for download for Windows,Mac and Linux platform.

Firefox 3.6 RC1 has gone through a lot of release delays. It was slated for release in October 2009. The final version of Firefox 3.6 was scheduled for November 09.

So what’s cool about Firefox 3.6 RC1

1.) Firefox 3.6 RC1 comes with Personas.

2.) Better plugin management which ensures that your plugins are up-to-date.

3.) Better and improved performance as compared to previous versions of Firefox.

4.) Improvements in HTML5 and support for embedded videos embedded with video HTML tag.

5.) Support for the Web Open Font Format (WOFF).

You can download the Firefox 3.6 RC1  from here. Users running a beta of Firefox 3.6 should see upgrade notices shortly if they haven’t already.
